Chris Martin dan Beyonce Knowles kolaborasi dalam sebuah lagu yang diambil dari album 'A Head Full of Dreams.'

Coldplay meluncurkan lagu ketiga sebagai bagian dari promosi album mereka yang bertajuk "A Head Full of Dreams." Kali ini Chris Martin dan kawan-kawan menyuguhkan "Hymn for the Weekend" yang merupakan kolaborasi dengan Beyonce Knowles.

Lagu ini muncul dari ide Chris untuk membuat lagu dance. Meskipun demikian lagu ini bukanlah lagu dance kebanyakan. Dengan musik khas Coldplay disertai dengan iringan paduan suara serta vokal Beyonce, lagu ini menjadi sangat unik.

Keterlibatan Beyonce dalam album Coldplay sebenarnya bukanlah hal yang mengejutkan karena Beyonce dan sang suami Jay-Z sudah lama berteman baik dengan sang vokalis Chris dan mantan istrinya Gwyneth Paltrow.
